Privacy

Short version: HowIsTheUSDoing has no accounts, no ads and no cookies, and we do not collect personal information about people who visit.

What we collect

Visiting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your device’s IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect against attacks, and keeps ordinary server logs. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages and charts are used. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track you across sites. It reports totals such as page views, countries, browsers and which pages were visited. Cloudflare processes the visit to produce those totals; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not combine it with anything that identifies you.

Contact form. If you use the contact form, what you type (your message and the email address you give, so we can reply) is sent through Web3Forms (web3forms.com) to us. We use it only to answer you and, if you report an error, to fix it. We do not add it to any mailing list or share it. You can ask us to delete it.

What we do not do

• No advertising, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
• No accounts and no sign-ups.
• We do not sell or share information about visitors.
• The charts you build are not sent to us. The choices you make are kept only in the web address of the page (so you can share a link) and in your own browser while you use the page.
• The page loads its fonts, charts and data from this site itself, with no outside trackers.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this changes, for example if ads or other tools are added, this page will be updated first and the date above changed.
